Guccio Gucci started the brand in Florence in 1921. But when Guccio died in 1953, his son Aldo was assigned to lead the company to a position of International prominence, opening the company's first boutigue in NY...!! Guccio Gucci is my prototype. His brand is the biggest-selling Italian brand in the world. It wholesales its products through franchisees and upscale stores...

Gucci bags are simple but glamorous. The Designer uses such colours that can be combined with everything. The design might be similar but they are considered classic and ideal for special occassions. This is the magic behind them.
As well as clothes, Gucci represents the status, the perceptions and the trends refering to a century, a decade or even different times of the year. This is the genuinity around it.
And at last, Gucci shoes of course! Modern, innovative, characteristic. They are always in fashion and they always catch the eye. This is THEIR identity and this is MY favourite brand.

Hello again!!! I've been "surfing" and I found this fantastic Dolce & Gabbana dress...

Let me introduce you to my favourite brand....ADIDAS. I know it's something entirely different from what the other girls thought about labels , you know Chanel or Gucci..oh no i prefer something more hip-hop or urban style..!! I was strangely attracted from this brand since i bought my first shoes, in other words.."love at first sight"!!!

Adidas combine street fashion and sport fashion in one product and that makes it different..Adidas at first it was a family business which created from Adolf Dassler..

Adolf dassle started to produce his own sports shoes in his mother's wash kitchen in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria, after his return from World War I. In 1924, his brother Rudolf (Rudi) Dassler joined the business which became Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory) and prospered. The pair started their venture in their mother's laundry, but at the time, electricity supplies in the town were unreliable, and the brothers sometimes had to use pedal power from a stationary bicycle to run their equipment.

By the 1936 Summer Olympics, Adi Dassler drove from Bavaria on one of the world's first motorways to the Olympic village with a suitcase full of spikes and persuaded United States sprinter Jesse Owens to use them, the first sponsorship for an African-American. After Owens won four gold medals, his success cemented the good reputation of Dassler shoes among the world's most famous sportsmen. Letters from around the world landed on the brothers' desks, and the trainers of other national teams were all interested in their shoes. Business boomed and the Dasslers were selling 200,000 pairs of shoes each year before World War II Adi forming a company formally registered as adidas AG (with lower case lettering) on 18 August 1949. The acronym All Day I Dream About Sport, although sometimes considered the origin of the adidas name, was applied retroactively, which makes it a backronym. The name is actually a portmanteau word formed from "Adi" (a nickname for Adolf) and "Das" (from "Dassler")........

So that's all about Adidas for now...

After watching "Coco avant Chanel" - the movie based on Gabrielle Chanel's life - I started thinking of people's reaction to the different. In the movie we watch a girl's effort to be different and support her opinion. In a world of misogynism and ostentation, Chanel made the difference and created a new style, which was the ticket to success. Despite the incredulity she had to deal with at first sight, she made everyone love her designs because of her personality.

Nowadays we read everywhere ''be different", "personality matters" etc. But honestly, would you ever go out with the absolutely fabulous Victor and Rolf skirt, for example, but absolutely forbidden for your coterie? That is to say, that here in Greece ,at least, wearing something but the "uniform" (Wesc T-shirt, cheap jeans and old Converse) is a serious reason to "kill" you. I don't have a problem with the brands above. In fact, I like them veeery much. My problem is how narrow-minded are teenagers in Greece. Most of them can't appreciate original style. And I have experienced situations, when some teens laugh at one's face because of his different style. If you like wearing the "uniform", wear it. No problem. But you don't have to laugh at the others (who are much more fashionable than you). Next time you see someone eccentric, think before you talk. He or she is sure to have read many more fashion magazines than you.

FASHION. An ambiguous subject which means something different for everyone and it is absolutely personal. Wearing clothes is an essential need for every human-being. Watching people wearing clothes makes you wonder what is the value of clothing and fashion for everyone. Does fashion play a major or a secondary role in today's people's lives? For us - 3 normal, 15-year-old girls living in
Greece - fashion is a highly-difficult thing to explain. It is this feeling, when you stand in front of Dior's showcase or when you are thinking of your first manolo's waiting for you in their box to wear them. Or when you see the perfect dress-of-your-dreams in the mall and you run to your house to take money to buy it. No, we are not the rich girls that can have everything they want and have Louboutin shoes for sleepers. No. We are normal people who appreciate high fashion and want to share their interest with whoever is available to listen. We are sure that everyone who loves fashion like us reads every single fashion magazine and blog. But still, who can ever get enough of fashion????
